The first Menina decorated with
plastic recovered from the sea
At imagin, we launched the Menina #imaginxtheocean together with Gravity Wave, a piece created by the artist Antonio Azzato. This Menina is a work of art that incorporates fishing nets recovered from seas and ports thanks to our community, symbolizing the importance of protecting our oceans. Painted in shades of blue evoking the sea, it wears a dress decorated with net fragments that tell the transformation process developed by Gravity Wave to turn these materials into art.
The Menina conveys a strong environmental commitment, highlighting the importance of reusing marine waste and giving it new life. A project that joins the cultural legacy of the Meninas Madrid Gallery.

Joining forces to free the oceans of plastic
Since 2021, together with Gravity Wave, we have removed over 100,000 kg of plastic from the sea, thanks to the active support of our community, who take part in the clean-up efforts and contribute through their use of our financial products and services
Gravity Wave, together with a community of traditional fishermen, recovers fishing nets and plastics from the Mediterranean and its ports and transforms them into long-lasting products, promoting the circular economy through the #PlasticFreeOceans commitment.
